2014 Audi A3 Sportback g-tron

The Audi presents the 2014 Audi A3 Sportback g-tron or else the first car of its new project which wants to become leader of cars powered by renewable energy. Sales will begin in late 2013 and the engine uses either natural gas or the e-gas, new fuel with the brand-new factory in town Werlte Germany. Audi has become the first automaker to manufacture synthetic fuel ethanol and gasoline.

The synthetic gasoline (ethanol) and synthetic oil formed through a complex process using CO2 in the atmosphere. The process includes large transparent tubes 100 meters in length that is filled with water. The tubes are filled simultaneously with genetically modified Cyanobacteria.

Result, using the sun, the bacteria react with CO2 and produce what says Audi, e-ethanol (gasoline) and e-diesel. According to the German company, a car will consume one of the two fuels will emit the same amount of CO2, emitting a hybrid car.

The 2014 Audi A3 Sportback g-tron has two CNG tank capacity 7 kg each, at 200 bar, and weight 27 kg. The tanks are made of polyamide polymer inside and CFRP and GFRP abroad, clad with a high strength epoxy resin. The 2014 Audi A3 Sportback g-tron has an electronic pressure regulator gas. This reduces the high pressure gas flowing to the cylinders 5 to 9 bar in two stages.

To 2014 Audi A3 Sportback g-tron using CNG has a range of 400 km and with the use of gasoline and the autonomy of 1,300 km going through the driver can see at any time through two screens, both the level of the fuel level in each of the two tanks, and the average consumption.

The engine is a specially formatted 1.400 TFSI. It features a redesigned cylinder head, redesigned turbine, new sprinkler system and new catalyst. It delivers 110 horses with 200 Nm torque with the 0-100 km/h can do in 11 seconds with a top speed of 190 km/h. Has an average consumption of 3, 5 km kila/100 CNG or e-gas and 95 g/km emissions of CO2. The car initially get ahead with the use of gasoline, and when temperature raise, automatically turns on the use of natural gas.
